Hogan Thompson Helps Secure Win for Oil and Gas Operator in Texas Supreme Court Offset-Well Provision Case

The Texas Supreme Court recently reversed the Court of Appeals’ judgment in favor of lessors in Rosetta Resources Operating, LP v. Martin et al., a win for Rosetta Resources and operators across the state. Hogan Thompson filed two briefs in support of Rosetta Resources in its case before the Court. The case involved the interpretation of an offset-well provision in an oil and gas lease and should provide operators with more certainty about such provisions in the future.
