Biography
A tireless legal advisor and insightful counsel, Johnathan represents clients in a variety of civil matters. He is always considering all possible options and contingencies for his clients, and he takes the time to deeply understand his clients’ business intricacies along with the motivations of his opponents. John never shies away from putting in the time to get the right answer to a legal issue, but he also understands that for many clients, a legal victory is not the only – or best – possible resolution.
John has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex disputes in federal and state courts, from trials to filing a petition for a writ of certiorari at the United States Supreme Court. His industry experience encompasses energy, trade secrets, financial services, securities, products liability, and railroads.
John attended The College of William & Mary and Stanford Law School. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert B. Kugler on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Honorable Edith H. Jones on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Outside of the office, John is a member of several cat clubs and shows cats in The International Cat Association circuit around the United States. John is also an avid recreational shooter and a mediocre golfer.
