Hogan Thompson Schuelke Wins Sixth Circuit Appeal on Behalf of Long Point Energy
Hogan Thompson Schuelke LLP represented client Long Point Energy in a dispute regarding a valuable set of properties in the Utica Shale in Ohio. The firm was hired after the district court entered summary judgment on all of Long Point’s claims. Reexamining the deeds at issue and the relevant caselaw, managing partner Chris Hogan briefed and argued the case to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which then reversed the district court. The Sixth Circuit held as a matter of law that the deed at issue in the case should be construed as requested by Long Point.
Chris Hogan and Solace Southwick represented Long Point Energy in the case.
